Konica Minolta Prime Lens Tests and Reviews
Minolta prime lenses had a well-earned reputation for optical and construction quality, and many older Minolta prime lenses are still sought today, by owners of the Sony Alpha digital SLR system. (Sony bought out all the Konica Minolta lens and camera designs in 2006, ending a long history of Minolta as a separate company, but carrying forward many of the excellent optical designs and camera technology that Minolta had developed over the years.) See below for models of Minolta prime lenses.
Konica Minolta 100mm f/2.8 Macro D AF
(From Konica Minolta lens literature) This new medium telephoto
Macro lens is capable of continuous shooting from infinity to 1:1 magnification ratio without the aid of attachments. The advanced focus ring has been widened and will not rotate while in AF. The lens is equipped with a focus-hold button and focus-range limiter for reduced focusing time and improved operation. Plus, it has a circular aperture, and utilizes a double-floating element focusing design. It is ideal for macro shots of foliage, small wildlife, portraits, and scenic photography.
